Anti-Fuc-TV antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the Fuc-TV antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the FUT5 gene, which encodes fucosyltransferase 5. This protein is known to function in carbohydrate metabolism and homeostasis and protein glycosylation, among other biological roles. The human version of Fuc-TV has a canonical amino acid length of 374 residues and a protein mass of 43 kilodaltons. It is reported to be localized in the Golgi of cells. This target antigen may also be known as FUC-TV.
