Anti-CNA1 antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the CNA1 antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the PPP3CA gene, which encodes protein phosphatase 3 catalytic subunit alpha. This protein is known to function in pathways of aging and brain development, among other biological roles. The human version of CNA1 has a canonical amino acid length of 521 residues and a protein mass of 58.7 kilodaltons, although 5 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the cell membrane and cytoplasm of cells and notably expressed in many tissues, such as the caudate and cerebellum. CNA1 is a member of the PPP phosphatase protein family.
