Anti-Apa1 antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target Apa1 is a known alias name of the protein zinc finger protein 410, encoded by the ZNF410 gene in humans. This 478-amino acid residue protein is reported to be a transcription factor that binds to the sequence motif 5'-CATCCCATAATA-3', and is specifically required to silence expression of fetal hemoglobin in adult erythroid cells. It is localized to the nucleus of the cell and features O-glycosylated and sumoylated post-translational modifications. In terms of tissue expression, it is widely expressed across many tissue types. Indicated applications for Apa1 antibodies listed below include ELISA and Western Blot.
