Anti-DLAD antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target DLAD is a known alias name of the protein deoxyribonuclease 2 beta, encoded by the DNASE2B gene in humans. This 361-amino acid residue protein is known to be involved in the apoptotic pathway, among other biological processes. It is localized to the lysosomes of the cell and features glycosylated post-translational modifications. In terms of tissue expression, it is reported to be highly expressed in the eye lens and in salivary gland.
