Anti-AP47B antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the AP47B antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the AP3M2 gene, which encodes adaptor related protein complex 3 subunit mu 2. This protein is known to function in endocytosis and intracellular protein transport, among other biological roles. The human version of AP47B has a canonical amino acid length of 418 residues and a protein mass of 47 kilodaltons, although 2 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the cytoplasmic vesicles, Golgi, and membrane of cells and widely expressed in many tissue types. AP47B is a member of the Adaptor complexes medium subunit protein family.
