Anti-AIPP1 antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the AIPP1 antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the PDZD11 gene, which encodes PDZ domain containing 11. This protein is known to mediate docking of ADAM10 to zonula adherens by interacting with PLEKHA7 which is required for PLEKHA7 to interact with the ADAM10-binding protein TSPAN33. The human version of AIPP1 has a canonical amino acid length of 140 residues and a protein mass of 16.1 kilodaltons, although 2 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the cell membrane, cytoplasm, and is secreted of cells and widely expressed in many tissue types.
