Anti-keratinocyte growth factor antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the keratinocyte growth factor antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the FGF7 gene, which encodes fibroblast growth factor 7. This protein is known to function in cytoskeleton organization and organ morphogenesis, among other biological roles. The human version of keratinocyte growth factor has a canonical amino acid length of 194 residues and a protein mass of 22.5 kilodaltons, although 2 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be a secreted protein. Other names for this target antigen include HBGF-7, KGF, and heparin-binding growth factor 7. Some keratinocyte growth factor antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
