Anti-hag2 antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the hag2 antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the AGR2 gene, which encodes anterior gradient 2, protein disulphide isomerase family member. This protein is known to function in inflammatory response pathways and the regulation of gene expression, among other biological roles. The human version of hag2 has a canonical amino acid length of 175 residues and a protein mass of 20 kilodaltons. It is reported to be localized in the ER and is secreted of cells and notably expressed in many tissues, such as the appendix and bronchus. Other names for this target antigen include AG-2, AG2, and GOB-4. ELISA, Western Blot, and Immunohistochemistry are common applications for hag2 antibodies.
