Anti-Cathepsin C antibodies are directed against the protein encoded by the gene CTSC in humans. The Cathepsin C protein has an expected mass of 51.9 kDa, but there are 3 reported isoforms. The protein may also be known as PLS, CPPI, DPP-I, DPP1, DPPI, dipeptidyl peptidase 1, and cathepsin J. Variants of this antigen may also be found in other species, including canine, porcine, monkey, mouse and rat.
