Anti-TP-1 antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the TP-1 antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the TNP1 gene, which encodes transition protein 1. This protein is known to function in chromatin remodeling and the regulation of transcription, among other biological roles. The human version of TP-1 has a canonical amino acid length of 55 residues and a protein mass of 6.4 kilodaltons. It is reported to be localized in the nucleus of cells and notably expressed in the testis. TP-1 is a member of the Nuclear transition protein 1 protein family.
