Anti-RBMY antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the RBMY antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the RBMY1A1 gene, which encodes RNA binding motif protein Y-linked family 1 member A1. This protein is known to function in mRNA processing and RNA splicing, among other biological roles. The human version of RBMY has a canonical amino acid length of 496 residues and a protein mass of 55.8 kilodaltons, although 3 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the nucleus of cells and notably expressed in the testis. Other names for this target antigen include RBM, RBM1, and RBM2. Indicated applications for RBMY antibodies listed below include ELISA, Western Blot, and Immunohistochemistry.
