Anti-PICT1 antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target PICT1 is a known alias name of the protein NOP53 ribosome biogenesis factor, encoded by the NOP53 gene in humans. This 478-amino acid residue protein is reported to be a nucleolar protein, which is involved in the integration of the 5S RNP into the ribosomal large subunit during ribosome biogenesis. It is localized to the nucleus of the cell and features phosphorylated post-translational modifications. In terms of tissue expression, it is notably expressed at high levels in the heart and pancreas, moderate levels in the placenta, liver, skeletal muscle, and kidney, and low levels in the brain and lung. The term GLTSCR2 is another synonym for PICT1. Indicated applications for PICT1 antibodies listed below include ELISA, Flow Cytometry, and Western Blot.
