Anti-Late Cornified Envelope 2D antibodies are used for the immunodetection of the protein encoded by the LCE2D gene. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 110 amino acid residues and a mass of 11.2 kDa. It is reported to have skin-specific expression. It is a member of the LCE protein family. Other names for this target antigen include late envelope protein 12, small proline rich-like (epidermal differentiation complex) 1A, small proline-rich-like epidermal differentiation complex protein 1A, and late cornified envelope protein 2D.
