Anti-LTBP3 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein latent transforming growth factor beta binding protein 3. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 1303 amino acid residues and a mass of 139.4 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the extracellular matrix and is secreted. Up to 2 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. A member of the LTBP protein family, LTBP3 is a reported key regulator of transforming growth factor beta (TGFB1, TGFB2 and TGFB3) that controls TGF-beta activation by maintaining it in a latent state during storage in extracellular space. The LTBP3 gene has been associated with the disease, Dental anomalies and short stature. Synonyms for this target antigen include GPHYSD3, LTBP2, STHAG6, pp6425, latent TGF beta binding protein 3, and DASS. LTBP3 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish and chimpanzee species. These LTBP3 antibodies are widely used in Western Blot experiments, among other applications.
