Anti-Interleukin 37 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein encoded by the IL37 gene. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 218 amino acid residues and a mass of 24.1 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the nucleus, cytoplasm, and is also secreted. Alternative splicing is reported to yield 5 different isoforms for this protein. A member of the IL-1 protein family, it is known to be involved with the cellular response to lipopolysaccharides and cytokine-mediated signaling pathways. Other names for this target antigen include FIL1(ZETA), FIL1Z, IL-1F7, IL-1H, IL-1H4, IL-1RP1, IL-23, and FIL1.
