Anti-GluR6 antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target GluR6 is a known alias name of the protein glutamate ionotropic receptor kainate type subunit 2, encoded by the GRIK2 gene in humans. This 908-amino acid residue protein is known to be involved in chemical synaptic transmission and the regulation of intracellular calcium, among other biological processes. It is localized to the cell membrane of the cell and features glycosylated, ubiquitinated, sumoylated and phosphorylated post-translational modifications. It is reported to be widely expressed in many tissue types. Other synonyms for GluR6 include EAA4, GLR6, and GLUK6. Indicated applications for GluR6 antibodies listed below include ELISA, Western Blot, Immunofluorescence, and Immunohistochemistry.
