Anti-GAT2 antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the GAT2 antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the SLC6A13 gene, which encodes solute carrier family 6 member 13. This protein is known to mediate sodium- and chloride-dependent transport of gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA). The human version of GAT2 has a canonical amino acid length of 602 residues and a protein mass of 68 kilodaltons, although 3 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the cell membrane of cells. GAT2 is a member of the Sodium:neurotransmitter symporter (SNF) (TC 2.A.22) protein family. Indicated applications for GAT2 antibodies listed below include ELISA and Western Blot.
