Anti-EMAP1 antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the EMAP1 antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the EML1 gene, which encodes EMAP like 1. This protein is known to function in brain development and hematopoietic progenitor cell differentiation, among other biological roles. The human version of EMAP1 has a canonical amino acid length of 815 residues and a protein mass of 89.9 kilodaltons, although 2 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the cytoplasm of cells. Other names for this target antigen include BH, ELP79, and EMAP.
