Anti-Erlin-1 antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target Erlin-1 is a known alias name of the protein ER lipid raft associated 1, encoded by the ERLIN1 gene in humans. This 348-amino acid residue protein is a known component of the ERLIN1/ERLIN2 complex which mediates the endoplasmic reticulum-associated degradation (ERAD) of inositol 1,4,5-trisphosphate receptors (IP3Rs). It is localized to the ER of the cell and features glycosylated post-translational modifications. In terms of tissue expression, it is found to be expressed in the heart, placenta, liver, kidney, pancreas, prostate, testis, ovary and small intestine. Indicated applications for Erlin-1 antibodies listed below include ELISA and Western Blot.
