Anti-POLd antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the POLd antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the POLD1 gene, which encodes DNA polymerase delta 1, catalytic subunit. This protein is known to function in DNA repair and DNA replication, among other biological roles. The human version of POLd has a canonical amino acid length of 1107 residues and a protein mass of 123.6 kilodaltons. It is reported to be localized in the nucleus of cells and widely expressed in many tissue types. Other names for this target antigen include CDC2, CRCS10, and MDPL. Some POLd antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
