Anti-CHMP4 antibodies are protein reagents that detect specific antigens. The CHMP4 antigen is another term for the human protein charged multivesicular body protein 4A, encoded by the CHMP4A gene. The protein is a suspected core component of the endosomal sorting required for transport complex III (ESCRT-III) which is involved in multivesicular bodies (MVBs) formation and sorting of endosomal cargo proteins into MVBs. Canonically, it has an amino acid length of 222 residues and a mass of 25.1 kilodaltons. Its subcellular localization is in the cytoplasmic vesicles and membrane and it is widely expressed across many tissue types. The CHMP4 protein is a member of the SNF7 protein family. Other alias names for CHMP4 include C14orf123 and CHMP4B.
