Anti-CD113 antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target CD113 is a known alias name of the protein nectin cell adhesion molecule 3, encoded by the NECTIN3 gene in humans. This 549-amino acid residue protein is reported to play a role in cell-cell adhesion through heterophilic trans-interactions with nectin-like proteins or nectins, such as trans-interaction with NECTIN2 at Sertoli-spermatid junctions. It is localized to the cell membrane of the cell and features glycosylated post-translational modifications. In terms of tissue expression, it is reported to be highly expressed in the testis and placenta as well as in many cell lines, including epithelial cell lines. Other synonyms for CD113 include CDW113 and PPR3. Western Blot is the most common application for the CD113 antibodies listed below. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
