Anti-CYP antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the CYP antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the PPIG gene, which encodes peptidylprolyl isomerase G. This protein is known to function in protein folding and RNA splicing, among other biological roles. The human version of CYP has a canonical amino acid length of 754 residues and a protein mass of 88.6 kilodaltons, although 2 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the nucleus of cells and widely expressed in many tissue types. Other names for this target antigen include CARS-Cyp and SCAF10. Western Blot is the most common application for the CYP antibodies listed below. ELISA, Immunofluorescence, and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
