Anti-Ypt1 antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target Ypt1 is a known alias name of the protein RAB1A, member RAS oncogene family, encoded by the RAB1A gene in humans. This 205-amino acid residue protein is known to be involved in autophagy pathways and cell migration, among other biological processes. It is localized to the ER, Golgi, and cytoplasm of the cell and features glycosylated and phosphorylated post-translational modifications. It is reported to be widely expressed in many tissue types. Other synonyms for Ypt1 include RAB1 and ras-related protein Rab-1A. ELISA is the most common application for the Ypt1 antibodies listed below. Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
