Anti-PSS2 antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the PSS2 antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the TGM5 gene, which encodes transglutaminase 5. This protein is known to function in epidermis development, among other biological roles. The human version of PSS2 has a canonical amino acid length of 720 residues and a protein mass of 80.8 kilodaltons, although 2 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the cytoplasm of cells. PSS2 is a member of the Transglutaminase protein family.
