Anti-Ga17 antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target Ga17 is a known alias name of the protein eukaryotic translation initiation factor 3 subunit M, encoded by the EIF3M gene in humans. This 374-amino acid residue protein is a known component of the eukaryotic translation initiation factor 3 (eIF-3) complex, which is required for several steps in the initiation of protein synthesis. It is localized to the cytoplasm of the cell. In terms of tissue expression, it is widely expressed across many tissue types. Other synonyms for Ga17 include B5 and PCID1. Indicated applications for Ga17 antibodies listed below include ELISA, Western Blot, Immunofluorescence, Immunoprecipitation, and Immunohistochemistry.
