Anti-Synuclein, alpha antibodies are directed against the protein encoded by the gene SNCA in humans. The Synuclein, alpha protein has an expected mass of 14.5 kDa, but there are 3 reported isoforms. The protein may also be known as NACP, PARK1, PARK4, PD1, alpha-synuclein, and I+/--synuclein. Variants of this antigen may also be found in other species, including canine, porcine, monkey, mouse and rat.
