Anti-TMEM16E antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target TMEM16E is a known alias name of the protein anoctamin 5, encoded by the ANO5 gene in humans. This 913-amino acid residue protein is a member of the Anoctamin protein family. It is localized to the ER and cell membrane of the cell and features glycosylated post-translational modifications. In terms of tissue expression, it is reported to be highly expressed in the brain, heart, kidney, lung, and skeletal muscle.
