SNF2L, or SWI/SNF related, matrix associated, actin dependent regulator of chromatin, subfamily a, member 1, is a human gene encoded by SMARCA1. It may also be known as: Probable global transcription activator SNF2L1; Nucleosome-remodeling factor subunit SNF2L; SWI/SNF-related matrix-associated actin-dependent regulator of chromatin subfamily A member 1; ATP-dependent helicase SMARCA1; Probable global transcription activator SNF2L1 ; NURF1401BT; SWI; SWI2. The encoded protein is an enzyme with an amino acid length of 1054 and a mass of 122.6 kDa. Other isoforms may exist. SNF2L is a member of the SNF2/RAD54 helicase family, ISWI subfamily. Homologs of this gene exist in other organisms, including: Mouse, Rat, Zebrafish, Frog, Chicken.
