Anti-Paraxis antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the Paraxis antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the TCF15 gene, which encodes transcription factor 15. This protein is known to function in the regulation of cell differentiation, among other biological roles. The human version of Paraxis has a canonical amino acid length of 199 residues and a protein mass of 20.8 kilodaltons. It is reported to be localized in the nucleus of cells and notably expressed in the testis. Other names for this target antigen include EC2 and EC2.
