Delta catenin antibodies are immunological tools used to detect the protein delta catenin. There are two main types – delta-1-catenins and delta-2-catenins. These play a role in neural development and maintenance of synapses. Delta catenins are believed to be involved in cell adhesion and regulations of nuclear factor kappa B molecules. They have also been implicated as a factor in autism and Alzheimer’s disease. Delta catenin antibodies can be used for Western blot, immunohistochemistry, immunofluorescence and ELISA kits.
