Anti-TSSK6 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein testis specific serine kinase 6. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 273 amino acid residues and a mass of 30.3 kDa. It is reported to be highly expressed in the testis. A member of the CAMK Ser/Thr protein kinase protein family, TSSK6 is known to be required for sperm production and function. Post-translational modifications have been described, including ubiquitination and phosphorylation. Synonyms for this target antigen include TSK-6, cancer/testis antigen 72, serine/threonine protein kinase SSTK, small serine/threonine kinase, testis secretory sperm-binding protein Li 205a, and testis-specific serine/threonine-protein kinase 6. TSSK6 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. Western Blot is the most common application for the TSSK6 antibodies listed below. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
