Anti-HBLD2 antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the HBLD2 antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the ISCA1 gene, which encodes iron-sulfur cluster assembly 1. This protein is reported to be involved in maturation of mitochondrial 4Fe-4S proteins functioning late in the iron-sulfur cluster assembly pathway. The human version of HBLD2 has a canonical amino acid length of 129 residues and a protein mass of 14.2 kilodaltons, although 2 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the mitochondria of cells. HBLD2 is a member of the HesB/IscA protein family.
