Anti-CORD2 antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target CORD2 is a known alias name of the protein cone-rod homeobox, encoded by the CRX gene in humans. This 299-amino acid residue protein is reported to be a transcription factor that binds and transactivates the sequence 5'-TAATC[CA]-3' which is found upstream of several photoreceptor-specific genes, including the opsin genes. It is localized to the nucleus of the cell. It is reported to be expressed in the retina. Indicated applications for CORD2 antibodies listed below include ELISA, Western Blot, and Immunohistochemistry.
