Anti-phostensin antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the phostensin antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the PPP1R18 gene, which encodes protein phosphatase 1 regulatory subunit 18. This protein is believed to target protein phosphatase 1 to F-actin cytoskeleton. The human version of phostensin has a canonical amino acid length of 613 residues and a protein mass of 67.9 kilodaltons, although 4 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the cytoplasm of cells and notably expressed in many tissues, such as the colon and kidney. Indicated applications for phostensin antibodies listed below include ELISA, Flow Cytometry, Western Blot, and Immunohistochemistry.
