Anti-Sialin antibodies are protein reagents that detect specific antigens. The Sialin antigen is another term for the human protein solute carrier family 17 member 5, encoded by the SLC17A5 gene. The protein is known to function in the transport of ions, among other biological roles. Canonically, it has an amino acid length of 495 residues and a mass of 54.6 kilodaltons. Its subcellular localization is in the cytoplasmic vesicles, lysosomes, and cell membrane. The Sialin protein is a member of the Sodium/anion cotransporter protein family. Other alias names for Sialin include AST, ISSD, and NSD. Indicated applications for Sialin antibodies listed below include ELISA and Western Blot.
