Anti-Artemis antibodies detect the protein encoded by the gene DCLRE1C, or 'DNA cross-link repair 1C' in humans. The 692-amino acid protein is a member of the DNA repair metallo-beta-lactamase (DRMBL) family. The cellular localization is predicted to be nuclear.
