Anti-JAM-2 antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target JAM-2 is a known alias name of the protein junctional adhesion molecule 3, encoded by the JAM3 gene in humans. This 310-amino acid residue protein is known to be involved in adaptive immune responses and angiogenesis, among other biological processes. It is localized to the cell membrane of the cell and features glycosylated, palmitoylated and cleaved post-translational modifications. It is reported to be expressed in many tissues, such as the bronchus and fallopian tube.
