Anti-CPN60 antibodies are protein reagents that detect specific antigens. The CPN60 antigen is another term for the human protein heat shock protein family D (Hsp60) member 1, encoded by the HSPD1 gene. The protein is known to be a chaperonin implicated in mitochondrial protein import and macromolecular assembly. Canonically, it has an amino acid length of 573 residues and a mass of 61.1 kilodaltons. Its subcellular localization is in the mitochondria and it is widely expressed in many tissue types. The CPN60 protein is a member of the Chaperonin (HSP60) protein family. Other alias names for CPN60 include GROEL. A number of CPN60 antibodies have been mentioned in research publications and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. ELISA, Flow Cytometry, and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
