Anti-NPT1 antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target NPT1 is a known alias name of the protein solute carrier family 17 member 1, encoded by the SLC17A1 gene in humans. This 467-amino acid residue protein is known to be important for the resorption of phosphate by the kidney. It is localized to the cell membrane of the cell and features glycosylated post-translational modifications. In terms of tissue expression, it is reported to be expressed in the kidney cortex, liver and brain but not in other tissues. The term NAPI-1 is another synonym for NPT1. Indicated applications for NPT1 antibodies listed below include ELISA and Western Blot.
