Anti-AMPD2 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein adenosine monophosphate deaminase 2. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 879 amino acid residues and a mass of 100.7 kDa. Alternative splicing is reported to yield 5 different isoforms for this protein. It is reported to be highly expressed in cerebellum. A member of the Adenosine and AMP deaminases protein family, it is known to be involved with metabolic processes. Post-translational modifications have been described, including methylation. Synonyms for this target antigen include SPG63, AMP deaminase 2, AMPD, adenosine monophosphate deaminase 2 (isoform L), and PCH9.
