Anti-proteolipid protein 2 (colonic epithelium-enriched) antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target proteolipid protein 2 (colonic epithelium-enriched) is a known alias name of the protein proteolipid protein 2, encoded by the PLP2 gene in humans. This 152-amino acid residue protein is believed to play a role in cell differentiation in the intestinal epithelium. It is localized to the membrane of the cell and features glycosylated post-translational modifications. It is reported to be widely expressed in many tissue types. Other synonyms for proteolipid protein 2 (colonic epithelium-enriched) include A4, A4LSB, and A4 differentiation-dependent protein.
