Anti-lactamase beta 2 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein encoded by the LACTB2 gene. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 288 amino acid residues and a mass of 32.8 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the mitochondria. The lactamase beta 2 protein is a member of the Glyoxalase II protein family. Other names for this target antigen include endoribonuclease LACTB2, beta-lactamase-like protein 2, testicular secretory protein Li 23, and CGI-83.
