Anti-METTL15 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein methyltransferase 15, mitochondrial 12S rRNA N4-cytidine. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 407 amino acid residues and a mass of 46.1 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the mitochondria. Up to 4 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is a member of the RsmH protein family. Synonyms for this target antigen include 12S rRNA m4C methyltransferase, methyltransferase 5 domain containing 1, methyltransferase 5 domain-containing protein 1, methyltransferase like 15, and 12S rRNA N4-methylcytidine (m4C) methyltransferase. METTL15 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. Western Blot is the most common application for the METTL15 antibodies listed below. Immunocytochemistry and Immunofluorescence are also common applications.
