CKBB, or Creatine kinase, brain, is a human gene encoded by CKB. It may also be known as: Creatine kinase B-type; B-CK; Creatine kinase B chain; Creatine kinase B-type ; BCK; HEL-211; HEL-S-29. The encoded protein is an enzyme with an amino acid length of 381 and a mass of 42.6 kDa. Other isoforms may exist. CKBB is a member of the ATP:guanido phosphotransferase family. Homologs of this gene exist in other organisms, including: Mouse, Rat, Frog, Chicken.
