Anti-YBEY antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein ybeY metalloendoribonuclease. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 167 amino acid residues and a mass of 19.3 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the nucleus. Up to 4 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is notably widely expressed in many tissue types. A member of the Endoribonuclease YbeY protein family, YBEY is known to be involved with rRNA processing. Synonyms for this target antigen include endoribonuclease YbeY, putative metalloprotease C21orf57, putative ribonuclease, rRNA maturation factor homolog, ybeY metallopeptidase (putative), and C21orf57. YBEY gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, chimpanzee and chicken species. ELISA is a widely used application for the YBEY antibodies listed below. In addition, Western Blot is also a common application.
