Anti-RANBP5 antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the RANBP5 antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the IPO5 gene, which encodes importin 5. This protein is reported to function in nuclear protein import as nuclear transport receptor. The human version of RANBP5 has a canonical amino acid length of 1097 residues and a protein mass of 123.6 kilodaltons, although 3 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the nucleus and cytoplasm of cells and notably expressed in many tissues, such as the bone marrow, tonsil, and adipose tissue. Other names for this target antigen include IMB3, KPNB3, and Pse1.
