Anti-Calpain 14 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein encoded by the CAPN14 gene. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 684 amino acid residues and a mass of 79.6 kDa. Alternative splicing is reported to yield 2 different isoforms for this protein. A member of the Peptidase C2 protein family, it is known to be involved with proteolysis. Other names for this target antigen include CANP 14 and calcium-activated neutral proteinase 14.
