Anti-TCF20 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein transcription factor 20. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 1960 amino acid residues and a mass of 211.8 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the nucleus. Up to 2 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is reported to be expressed in most tissues, except in ovary and prostate. TCF20 is reported to be a transcriptional activator that binds to the regulatory region of MMP3 and thereby controls stromelysin expression. The TCF20 gene has been associated with the disease, Developmental delay with variable intellectual impairment and behavioral abnormalities. Synonyms for this target antigen include DDVIBA, SPBP, SPRE-binding protein, nuclear factor SPBP, stromelysin-1 PDGF-responsive element-binding protein, and AR1. TCF20 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. Western Blot is the most common application for the TCF20 antibodies listed below. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
