Anti-alpha-PIX antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the alpha-PIX antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the ARHGEF6 gene, which encodes Rac/Cdc42 guanine nucleotide exchange factor 6. This protein is known to function in the apoptotic pathway, among other biological roles. The human version of alpha-PIX has a canonical amino acid length of 776 residues and a protein mass of 87.5 kilodaltons, although 2 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the cell projections of cells and notably expressed in the tonsil, skin, and lymph node.
